Hello Sarah - Hello Kitty Adult Party

This post is from a "hello sarah” surprise 33rd birthday party for a girl who loves all things hello kitty.  Her husband Amritz planned the entire thing and asked me to help with the desserts and minor decorating details.  He asked me for all white and pink so I created a basic pink backdrop out of a satin table cloth and ruffled table runner (plus some gems for adult glamour and a happy birthday banner for a personal touch).  I outlined a hello kitty silhouette in my cameo digital cutting machine and used that shape for the party printables (dessert, water bottle, decoration, and favor labels).  The hello kitty cake pops were made per bakerella’s instructions (with minor modifications for the eyes, nose, & whiskers).  We also provided vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting and pink fondant hello kitty bows and sugar cookies formed into mini hello kitties.  We also used the “hello sarah” and hello kitty bow labels throughout the party on table centerpieces and banners.  This party was awesome to help plan not only for the nice people we got to work with but for the fun people at the party who all received a hello kitty gift bag courtesy of Amritz.

Gobble Grub on Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with our friends in Laguna Beach, CA.  I offered to do desserts since they were providing all of the rest of the fixings.  We had a wonderful time and I had a ton of fun doing this table!
